WHAT IS IT

Our award winning Cold Pressed Hemp Seed Oil is full of vital essential fatty acids, omegas 3, 6 and 9 along with a multitude of minerals.  It is carefully pressed and filtered from UK grown hemp seed in our award-winning factory here in Warminster and has a smooth nutty taste.  It is a great tasting green liquid similar to the consistency of virgin olive oil.

HOW IS IT MADE

Our farmers grow hemp here in the UK organically.  Seed is cleaned and dried on site and once it is to our specifications we press the oil out of the seed using a cold press method which maintains the nutritional integrity of the product.  Once the oil is pressed it goes into a series of tanks to remove any debris and then is filtered, the result is a great tasting green oil that is full of nutrients.

WHY SHOULD I USE IT

Hemp Seed Oil has a great omega 3, 6 and 9 profile, rich in vitamins and minerals, low in saturated fat (40% less than virgin olive oil) and rich in polyunsaturated fat, no sugar or salt, very low in carbs, along with its non-allergenicity and a mild flavour are just a few of its useful attributes.

  • an anti-inflammatory agent
  • Supports cardiovascular health
  • Helping to maintain healthy skin and hair
  • Supporting joint health
  • Helps to regulate metabolism
  • It is a source of plant-based healthy fatty acids
  • It could help to improve cognitive function
  • It is a natural source of vitamin E and other antioxidants
  • Helps to boost the immune system

HOW IS IT USED

Hemp Seed Oil can be used in applications that are traditionally served by virgin olive oil in food manufacturing, salad dressings, mayonnaise, hummus, sauces, soups etc.  In Salads - Anything you currently use olive oil for you can replace with hemp seed oil. It's a different taste, but we think you will love hemp's nutty nutritious oil!

In Dressings - Mix it in with your favourite salad dressing or eat it by the spoonful! It's that good.

In Soup – Hemp seed oil is a great addition to any soup! Not only does it add flavour, but it also adds some amazing potential benefits.

On Roast Potatoes - Coating your roasties with oil is one of the fundamental steps that ensure a delicious Sunday Roast. Try swapping your usual oil for hemp seed oil for those extra benefits!

Hemp Oil Pesto - Swap out the olive oil for hemp seed oil.

Hummus - Use hemp seed oil instead of olive oil or try making hummus with hemp seed flour instead of chickpea flour.

WHAT ABOUT SKIN CARE?

Hemp seed oil is used in skin care formulations due to is abilities as an emollient; its naturally occurring linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid helps to support the skin in its natural cycle of repair and regeneration; it’s also non-comedogenic, which means it won’t block pores and naturally has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.

IS IT BETTER THAN FISH OIL?

Hemp seed oil is a vegan source of omegas 3, 6 and 9.  Its very simply made just using pressure and then filtering.

Fish oil not only depletes fish stocks but the processing is not simple by any means.  The oils are refined via several chemical processes, including bleaching, degumming, deodorizing, and deacidification.

OUR OPINION

60% of the human brain is fat.  We are programmed to find fat and eat it as part of our survival process.  If we get our fat at McDonalds then our brain will be made of unhealthy saturated fat and of course our thinking processes will operate at that level.  If, as evolution has dictated we get our fats from healthy sources our brains will function better and last longer.
